Challenges
- High competition for limited available funding opportunities in South Sudan.
- The high cost of maintaining skilled human resource
- Inability to access some of the areas in South Sudan because of insecurity, poor roads and flooding.
Opportunities
- The growing needs of the communities that our organization has access to.
- The voluntary return of refugees and IDPs at areas where GREDA operates.
- The signing of the Revitalized Agreement for the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS) and formation of the revitalized transitional government of national unity (R-TGoNU) in the Republic of South Sudan have brought a light of hope for the community to re-build their social, economic livelihoods.
- The declaration of grand bargain agenda by donors towards localization of humanitarian funding
- The need to sensitize and carry awareness to the communities on the effects of climatic change.
- The potentials of the communities on improved systems and learning.
- The sustainable element of resiliency in operation that GREDA exhibits.
- Opportunities for partnership with Local NGOs, International NGOs and Bilateral Donors for the funding and implementation of short or long term projects for the benefits of the poorest vulnerable people most of whom are women, youth, and widows, single mothers, and pregnant/lactating mothers, orphans, under aged children, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities in South Sudan
