Project Title: Resilience Through Agriculture in South Sudan (RASS).

As from mid-December 2022 GREDA received in-kind donations from DAI Global USA inform of assorted agricultural, fishing and village saving loan association (VSLA) equipment and materials funded by USAID. The assorted donations included (1) agricultural seeds, tools, sorghum threshers and maize sheller machines  for agro-dealer groups (2) five canoes, ten fishing nets and two insulated cold chain fishing storage contain ice boxes 600 ml for youth fishing groups for preservation of fish meat for long period of time and (3) one Grinding Milling Machine/Grain Miller, ten ledger books, ten lock boxes, thirty pad locks, ten electronic calculators and other assorted materials as technical assistance to Village Saving Loans Association (VSLA) groups and small/medium enterprises to strengthen local food production, post-harvest, storage, marketing chain functioning, income generation and food security resiliencies in Akobo County in Jongolei State. The project aims to benefit over 15,000 poorest vulnerable people most of whom are IDPs, returnees and host communities such as women, widows, single mothers, pregnant/lactating mothers, old aged persons, persons with disabilities and youth.
